Shop Operations Cluster
This cluster is no longer maintained by a single coordinator, and is instead now comprised of a number of individual responsibilities, to be held by committed staff. The Operations Cluster is responsible for the physical maintenance and management of the Bike Kitchen. The SOC ensures that the shop is stocked at all times with supplies necessary for the smoothing running and efficiency of the organization, which includes tools, new parts, used parts, facility supplies, and office and administrative needs.
Qualifications
Below are all the roles and responsibilities included in the Operations Cluster. Commitment to a role should ideally be made by staff with at least 1yr experience with the shop. The requested length of commitment to a role is 1yr.
Roles and Responsibilities
Tool/Consumables Inventory
- Takes a weekly or bi-weekly inventory of all shop tools and incidentals to be ordered from QBP (incl. cleaning supplies. WORX hand cleaner should be ordered here: https://lucasoil.hodgsoncorp.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=35&products_id=174&osCsid=36790a41e32efa1e59daf8f8b7991511)
- Communicates needs to QBP orderer (currently Jimmy), as well as posting them on the “Needs” list in the yellow cabinet.
