Property Management

Amar will take on communication responsibilities until his term is up in October

Property management company has changed

Jeremiah is taking care of repairing windows

It would be nice to have the latches repaired on the doors, but may not be good reason to

Bike Parking

How can we get sidewalk bike racks from SFBC?

Need to find out if the sidewalks are public space or belong to Mosaica

Need to follow up with property management

Angel will see if her roommate can find out about the sidewalk ownership

Lawyer

Ilana heard back from our incorporation lawyer who declined to help us

Ilana is following up with Rez's godson who supposedly is interested

Youth

Youth issues have primarily been resolved

Youth program has been cancelled

Colin is gone, Francisco has written his essay

Staff meetings have resolved the meeting the Board was considering but did not decide on

e.g. youth can't be staff

Box Dog Donations

Donations have been coming to WTF via Rene

They usually ask first what we want

JP is good knowing that someone is on top of it

Jordan Succession Planning

Jordan - I feel like if being on the board was a job I would have been fired from the job

I'm out of gas for the BK - I've been involved for a long time

I'm willing to play out my commitment but I'm not contributing much - I feel kinda bad

Ilana - I feel like the primary role of the board is to make sure we stay close to our mission, the DIY element, that we don't need to do much aside from that

It would be a shame to miss your commitment to that, I would be sad to not have you here

Ilana/Angel - I think the collective should elect a new member

Ilana - I'd prefer to have Jordan's role be dormant and just reelect next fall

Ilana - If Alon is going to be less available maybe we should have an interim election to ensure we have engaged board members

Decision to not hold a reelection Jordan is likely to not play an active role in the coming months Next election will have positions for reelection and replacement - Amar, Alon, Angel, Jordan

Budget for Shop Beautification

Decision to pay for what is needed for shop projects

We trust staff to be responsible

No specific budget set

Succession Planning and Coordinator Roles

Alon - I feel it is an important role of the board to make sure that people are moving in to accountable roles and that we have a sense for who will step up in the future

Ilana - I think more smaller accountable roles rather than a lot of responsibility - e.g. shift scheduler, party planner

Jordan - When I was Ops Coordinator I was really just the Key Master

JP - As Education Coordinator its nice to have a single point of contact

Ilana - what if the board identifies the different roles and ask people to take on specific jobs

Proposal to bring this up at next staff meeting - lets enumerate the jobs that make the BK run
